A full assessment of your mouth will include an examination of the teeth, your tongue and cheeks, oral cancer screening, periodontal (gum health) screening, dietary advice and oral hygiene instruction.
Clinical photographs are taken when necessary to help us explain what’s going on in your mouth. X-rays will be taken at regular intervals for the early detection of potential problems.
We like to see our younger patients on a more regular basis. This helps to get children on the right path to good oral hygiene and to prevent possible problems in the future. Oral hygiene instruction, dietary advice and fluoride varnish application are routinely offered.
As they get older, children are regularly monitored for orthodontic problems and are referred when necessary. Fissure sealing is available once adult teeth have erupted.
