Root Canal Treatment
A filled or decayed tooth with an abscess on the roots will require root filling.
Any existing filling or decay is removed to access the inside of the tooth.
The canals in the tooth roots are reamed to remove the tooth nerves.
Stable, inert material is inserted to fill the hollow roots.
Theroot filling material is trimmed, sealed and the tooth filled.
Depending on how much tooth is present, a crown may be necessary either at the time of the root filling or later.
